What a Thanksgiving.....

We survived.... our first Thanksgiving away from our family in Arizona. How did we survive? By going to family in Maryland. But I am getting ahead of myself.... we made it through case comp and Bryan and his team won the competition for his cohort. They got a business case and had four days to come up with a proposal and business plan and then they presented their case first to professors then when they made it to the second round to the VP of the company and others. We did not see him for over a week and he got little sleep BUT he won. I asked him what they won and he said they got their picture taken. I am not sure if that is a great prize : ) Bryan had the whole week off for Thanksgiving so we headed to Maryland and had Thanksgiving with my Aunt Sarah and Uncle Jim at their fabulous place. The kids played with the rabbits, on the swing ( which Kamryn LOVED when she wasn't crying), on the big slide and with my cousins children. Bryan helped build a deer stand and even tried to shoot a pumpkin. We then headed to Brigg and Mel's place near DC. We went to a show called ICE where everything was made of.. get ready... Ice. It was 9 degrees inside and we looked like fat smurfs when we put the coats on that they provided. It was AMAZING! They had a life sized nativity and slides that were all ice and many more cool things. The highlight for me was we got to eat Mexican food. I have missed really good Mexican food. Let's face it Indiana is not a mecca for Mexican food restaurants. Just 3 weeks and we head to Arizona for Christmas.... we can't wait!

Halloween

It was our first big holiday in Indiana. It was not as hard as we thought it would be. We had 4 days of parties and wearing our costumes. I was worried that it would be freezing but it was in the high 40's.... nice. Thanks to our great friends the Stansels we had a neighborhood BBQ before all of the men folk took the kids trick or treating. All of the mom's put our chairs out at the end of the cul-de-sac and talked and passed out candy. Thanks again Amy for offering to throw the BBQ! : )

We were able to go on a hay ride and then roast marshmallows this past week. After being rainy and cold for a week we had a little break in the weather. It was fun to see some beautiful country and enjoy some great friends. Harrison woke up the next morning and the first thing he said was.. "I love the hay ride." We missed Bry.. he was at school.. I know shocker.. : ) We hope next year at this time he can come with us.

Hayride.....

We had a great BUSY summer. We sold our house in May. The day we had to be out left for Disneyland and spent five days there. We came home for 2 days and then went to Brigg and Mel's in Philly where we took side trips to New York. We had a great time seeing both places. We then finished school and then off we went to Lake Powell with our great friends the Wadsworths. I don't think I have ever laughed that hard! Then me and the kids went up to see my grandparents and my brother and his wife for a week. We then were off to Cailfornia to Blake and Mikelle's for the 4th of July. After all this we drove across the country to move to Indiana a few weeks later. Whew!

Summer Fun....

Fun and Games...

The MBA program had an game night for students. They also had games for the kids to play. Brad entered a doughnut eating contest. He tried his hardest. Gagged a few times but sadly another kid beat him. Kelley (thats the MBA schools name) had a lot of fun activities for Bry the first few weeks of school. I think they do that to make the wives think it will all be fun and games while we are here. Although its fun.. it really does not make for only seeing your spouse on Sundays...

Indiana

This is at a park right by our home. We love to go and play at the park. Our moving to Indiana was been an adventure. We never thought that we would be in the mid-west but are so happy we came. We love where we live. There are a TON of kids and someone is always outside riding bikes ready to play. Thanks goodness there are other MBA wives in our area. It is nice to sit outside and visit and let the kids play. It kind of makes up for Bryan always being at school. We had some funny moments.... Harrison pulling the fire alarm at a HUGE library and everyone having to evacuate the building. I have never been more embarrassed in my life. The best part was a friend of mine was at the library a few weeks later when she heard some moms talking about the kid who pulled the fire alarm and his mom. Gotta love that boy! I also have a new calling.... ward chorister. Funny huh. I can't sing a note in tune EVER - let alone sing AND lead. It's like watching a train wreck each and every week. Oh, did I mention our ward has the MOST amazing singers in the world? It's full of professors of music and students getting their PHD in musical performance. Yup, my own personal nightmare every Sunday.

Apple and Raspberry picking

We went last weekend to an apple orchard to pick apples and raspberries. It has been fun to do things that we have not had the chance to do in Arizona.

Bry's First Day!

We got to go on a tour of the stadium and watch the players practice. The kids favorite part was running on the field after the practice.
