Harrison is 4!

His Future bride.. Jenna

Our last one turns 4 today! Its kind of crazy that we no longer have babies in the house. The days where all of my children are gone during the day are fast approaching. But for now I will enjoy having my little buddy with me all day!

Things you should know about Harrison...

He HATES sleeping next to anyone. He has been like this since he was a tiny baby. He never comes in and sleeps with us.

He will eat anything.

He loves his stuffed dog Bumblebee. Bumblebee is always close by.

When he says his prayers it's always in a high singing voice.

He loves his brother and sister.

He wants to marry Jenna and "loves her very much."

He calls any sandwich "sawmwich"

Wakes us up every morning saying "Its good morning time!"

Loves Super Mario Brothers

Loves me to read him books.

Every night we sing the same 4 songs for him ..Down in the Meadow.. Pigeon House, Armies of Helaman and Silent Night...

Happy Birthday Harrison. We love you!

Conversation between Harrison and his Cousin Paige...

H: We are on a trip to Delaware

P: Huh?

H: We live in a apartment. No stomping, running, jumping, no falling .. but we can at the Powells!

We have really cranky neighbors below us so we are always telling the kids not to do the things mentioned above....

Harrison..

This is what happens when your older sister is bored!

Right before we left for Delaware we went to DC for a quick trip to see family. About 2 hours after we got there Harrison slipped off the diving board and hit his head on the side of the pool. He ended up needing 8 stitches. He was a trooper. He did not even cry when he got them. Since then he has been obsessed with his brain. Here are a few of my favorite sayings:

One morning he came in our room and laid down by us and he just started to laugh out loud.. when we asked what was so funny he said his brain was tickling him.

He walked up to me and asked me to look in his ear. I asked him why and he said he wanted me to see what his brain was doing.

Whenever he gets in trouble he blames it on his brain. "My brain told me to do it." (We hear this A LOT)

The doctor said he was fine and had no concussion.. maybe he didn't do enough testing because that brain of his is getting him into a lot of trouble!

Are you aware Part 2..

Are you aware that Delaware has beaches? I was not aware of that fact until we decided to come here for the summer. So Jennifer and I loaded up all 57 kids and went last week for the day (we really only had 7 kids but with all the beach stuff we brought it looked like we had 57) It was AWESOME! The beach was beautiful and the water warm. Harrison kept on running up to me and saying " This is an awesome day." He was right. It doesn't get much better than a day and the beach!

Are you aware?

"Are you aware we are in Delaware?" That is currently Brad's favorite saying because for the next couple of months we will be living in Delaware. So far its been an adventure. We are living in a 3rd floor apartment. Our wonderful downstairs neighbors have paid us a visit.. apparently we walk too loudly. Being the nice person I am I told my kids to run and jump as much as they want to. Awesome! Just 5 days into apartment living we already have people who enjoy having us as neighbors! I have learned a few things about the great state of Delaware:

1. Almost every Mcdonald's has a line wrapped around it and often its out into the street. So be prepared to wait.

2. You must have at least 1 tattoo and or tongue piercing to fit in.

3. Despite what you think socks with sandals is in style.

4. It is OK to walk or cross over the highway. It doesn't matter if you have to cross over 8 lanes.. you just have to run fast.

5. If you need to use the restroom no need to find a restroom, just go where you want! ( To be fair we saw that in Philly not in Delaware but close enough)

6. It's really Ok to smoke when you are pregnant. We have seen more smokers here than any place we have been too and LOTS of pregnant girls smoking.

7. Going to the closest Wal-Mart is not always the best idea. This one makes Bloomington's Wal-Mart look and feel like its in Beverly Hills!

To be fair.. Delaware is really pretty and it has given us lots of fun stories to tell!
